Volunteer to help Sue Ryder to be there when it matters.
About us
Our Harborne shop is looking for volunteers to join the team. Located on Harborne High Street, our large Sue Ryder store has everything you could need, including furniture, clothing and a range of homeware.
Our large format store offers everything you could need, from ladies wear and accessories, menswear and accessories, bric-a-brac, house hold electricals, and donated and branded furniture. We also stock an excellent range of new goods.
About you
Do you have an eye for a bargain, get excited about sustainable fashion, love helping customers discover pre-loved treasures and want to join a friendly team - if so we want you.
This role will also be supporting our shop behind the scenes, back of house, sorting donations, getting things ready for sale and making sure the shop is kept stocked and ready for our customers.
How you’ll benefit
- Join a friendly team & make new friends
- Gain confidence & customer service skills
- Get valuable retail experience & enhance your CV
- Receive discounted donated goods and travel expenses
- Give back to your community
- Support people through the most difficult times of their lives
You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.
How much time does the role take up?
Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.
Why not arrange a taster session?
You can register your interest in volunteering online or directly in store. You can have a no-obligation taster session in your chosen shop.
