**This role is working with one of the UK's leading independent commercial property management specialist firms.**

To help support the Accounts Payable processing team and to ensure that clients' invoices and payments are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with the agreed terms.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Opening the post and distributing to relevant team members, ensuring all invoices are addressed correctly
- Checking Invoices on a daily basis and identifying changes where necessary
- To assist in collecting data and compiling monthly reports for relevant clients including the processing of payments to HMRC and production of monthly deduction statements if required
- Assisting in the set-up of new suppliers and amending supplier details where applicable on the required property databases
- Verifying all new contractors and subcontractors via Internet & Telephone
- Liaise with Property Managers regarding the approval of invoices in a timely manner
- Ensure all payments are made within the supplier's deadlines, thereby avoiding the disconnection of supplies and the withholding of goods and services
- Printing, sorting and filing away all BACS reports
- Dealing with remittance requests
- Any other duties that will ensure the smooth running of the Accounts Payable Department, as defined by the Head of Accounts Payable and the Director of Accounts

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Good numeracy skills
- Demonstrate a keen interest in developing a career within accounts
- Proficient IT and software skills, particularly in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
