Mott MacDonald’s support services are the driving force behind our organisation enabling us to run efficiently and effectively. The team works collaboratively to offer specialist advice, best practice and technology to all areas of our business specifically designed for our global reach.**Overview of role**
- We’re growing our knowledge team and we are looking for an experienced knowledge manager to work with our global engineering Practices and support them in managing their technical knowledge.-
- The role is a full-time role and will report to the Group Knowledge and Information Manager.**Responsibilities**
- Lead the generation, curation and use of technical knowledge globally through the Practices with key focus on the Good Practice libraries
- Manage our global Lesson Learning Process, support its global and local implementation, drive cultural change and behavior within the Practice communities
- Manage the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Professional Information tool which identifies our experts
- Lead the creation and maintenance of Global Practice sites
- Manage periodic reviews of the Practice vocabularies such as Practice, Practice Skill and Practice Topics term sets
- Support our Global Practice Leaders in building their communities
- Recommend changes/improvements to processes and tools managing technical knowledge
- Lead / Project manage improvement projects approved by the Head of Excellence and the Global Knowledge Manager
- Ensure appropriate access to external technical knowledge such as standards, regulations, eBooks and maintain the Croydon library
- Being responsible for effective knowledge sharing across the Excellence team
- Owner of Concept Search (auto tagging software and knowledge sharing tool)
- Owner of practice and library enquiries
- Project manage global knowledge sharing events such as Excellence Fortnight and supporting the Head of Excellence in the organization of other events such as Excellence Forum
- Line management responsibilities

- Knowledge management experience
- Line management experience
- Ability to impact and influence at a senior level across geographic and cultural boundaries
- Strong understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint
- Strong project management experience
- Proven ability to effect behavioural change across an organization and drive adoption of new tools and business processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Committed to continuous service improvement and innovation
