Perioperative Care Assistant

Our operating theatres are recruiting for full / part time Band 2 Trainee perioperative care support workers. We would like you to join us in delivering the highest standards of care in a well-equipped, safe environment with Our ‘Right Care’ behaviours of compassion, a commitment to quality of care and working together for patients as a priority. Our specialties include Ophthalmology, General Surgery, ENT, Gynecology, Urology, Maxilla-facial, elective Orthopedics, Acutes & trauma, Obstetrics and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit. You may already have experience in this role. We require staff to cover a 24 hour service over a 7 day period. To undertake a range of duties including clerical and patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Practitioner ODP, Nurse or a Senior Perioperative Care Assistant. Theatre Support staff will assist the Registered Practitioners to deliver patient care and prepare the environment in which care is delivered. In pursuing these duties, the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution and be familiar with the NHS England Guidance ‘Understanding the new NHS’.

We are a national centre for telemedicine and introduced telehealth to the UK offender healthcare sector and also provide the service to patients in their care homes.
