Normanton, United Kingdom Outwood Grange Academies Trust Full time

**Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson**

**Principal: Lisa Allott**

We are an 11-16 academy, based in Normanton, Wakefield in West Yorkshire. Part of the Outwood Family since 2018, we are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child. We place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success and a positive climate for learning.

We aim to promote the highest standards of academic achievement through inspiring teaching and learning, giving young people the knowledge, skills, values and confidence to succeed in life.

We believe that learning should be both enjoyable and enriching. We are innovators with a knowledge-rich curriculum, designed to personalise learning for every student, helping them to reach their potential.

We have won numerous awards as a school and being an IQM Centre of Excellence highlights that inclusion at all levels is of paramount importance to us. We are also proud to have been awarded Silver Status by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health Award.

Our first OFSTED judgement was Requires Improvement, with good for Leadership and Management and Curriculum and we strive on our journey towards becoming Outstanding. Help to take us to the next level.

We work hard to ensure we reduce workload on staff, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of students first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.

All academies within the Outwood Family have gained the IQM Inclusive Schools Award with 18 having Centre of Excellence status and one holding Flagship status. If you share our vision, join our family.

Other responsibilities include producing individual healthcare plans, PEEPS, and Risk Assessments for N code children, with support from inclusion teams for children with SEND, and accompanying students to hospital and home whenever necessary, logging incidents and maintaining databases and supplies. You will be required to write and review school risk assessments, school/trips and take part in any accident investigations. The successful applicant must be a qualified first aider or willing to undertake the 3-day First Aid course and be enthusiastic and empathetic. Experience of working in a school environment is desirable.

The role will involve passing over information to colleagues, so good communication skills are essential.
