**Salary: Negotiable based on experience (minimum £150 per day)**

**The Role**:
You will be responsible for teaching a small class of KS2 students (approximately 10) with a diagnosis of ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional learning delays and difficulties. Behaviour in the class is of a generally high standard, and the SpecialNeeds Teacher will be supported by several Teaching Assistants who will offer additional 1:1 support to pupils as required.

The school boasts state of the art facilities and a highly experienced team who strive to provide the best possible learning experience for every student. Alongside their time in the classroom, pupils have access to sensory learning suites, therapy sessionsand regular counselling.

The successful Special Needs Teacher will be able to plan, prepare and deliver bespoke lessons tailored to each students individual learning plans. You will be able to successfully track and monitor student progress and report to the SLT/SENCO on a regularbasis. You will work alongside a fantastic Unit team, including several highly experienced Teaching Assistants who will offer additional support within the classroom.

**Duties of the Special Needs Teacher**:

- Teaching a KS2 class of approximately 10 pupils
- Making sure the students are safe, happy and understanding the work set
- Directing the class Teaching Assistants to help with whatever is needed
- Keep records of pupil progress
- Demonstrate positive attitudes, values and behaviours consistent with the role and in line with the expectations

**The ideal Special Needs Teacher will have**:

- 1 years experience teaching KS2 within a mainstream School or SEN Provision
- A can do attitude and a passion for supporting students with SEND
- Good behaviour management skills
- Excellent knowledge of the Primary KS2 curriculum
- QTS or relevant experience
