The Role:
We are currently recruiting for Programme Delivery Managers to join our teams located across the Midlands. We have many office locations throughout the Midlands region offering flexibility for place of work. Within this role, you will be responsible formanaging the design and construction of a portfolio of renewal and improvement works for highways related assets. You will be ensuring the projects within your portfolio are planned and delivered with both a Safety and Customer focus, whilst managing to time,cost and quality in achieving investment outcomes and efficiency targets. You will lead and guide a team of Project Managers, who continually collaborate with a focused supply chain of over 25 contractors working as part of our newly let Scheme Delivery Framework.

What You’ll Be Leading On:

- Lead the delivery of a complex programme of projects within the Region’s rolling 5 years capital programme, across all stages of the project lifecycle, from design to instruction into service.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Regional Management Team, key external stakeholders, suppliers, contractors and across National Highways teams. Ensure full mutual understanding of the programmes, strategic and delivery objectives.
- Report on and review programme performance, to agree solutions that resolve complex issues and generate support for project business cases.
- Manage, lead and motivate project managers and their collaborative teams, ensuring effective utilisation and allocation of team resources, inducting recruitment, ensuring effective, performance is delivered on the programme and to support their personaldevelopment
- Accountable for accurate monthly financial, programme, risk and change management reviews.
- Ensure full compliance with National Highways Operations Quality Management System on all projects in score to ensure delivery within agreed parameters for quality, cost and time. Ensuring they meet extended outcomes, customer services levels, corporate,technical, specialist and health & safety standards.

To Be Successful:

- Understanding of NEC based contracts.
- Highways maintenance and improvement knowledge and experience.
- Excellent Stakeholder management
- Recognised qualifications in relevant engineering discipline or extensive experience in delivery of civil engineering projects and programmes.
- Proven Programme and complex management experience
