**Your Impact**:
This is a key role within the Medical Affairs team and will be important to Alimera’s success at an exciting and pivotal time in the company’s development.

The role presents a unique opportunity to build Alimera’s medical presence in the UK, primarily in the North UK. Working closely with Alimera’s European Medical Affairs team and other internal stakeholders, the MSL will facilitate and develop relationships with the medical/scientific community, particularly with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other physicians and medical centres in the UK and exchange current scientific and medical information with investigators and institutions. It is an exciting time to join a high performing medical team during the launch phase for a new indication.

**Your Responsibilities as an MSL**:

- Serving as the primary field-based medical affairs representative to support medical affairs initiatives.
- Identifying and profiling KOLs, investigators and institutions to assess their ability to participate in observational registries, conducting investigator-initiated trials, participating in company sponsored studies.
- Serving as the primary field-based medical affairs representative to support medical affairs initiatives.
- Provides suitable project-related scientific education for KOLs.
- Identify and build relationships with national, regional or local KOLs.
- Identify KOLs for medical education and clinical research opportunities.
- Develop strategic thought leader plans to provide needs-based, value-added services.
- Provide input and participate in cross-functional activities.
- Participate in internal therapeutic advisory groups and project teams.
- Work with internal stakeholders to support publication planning; slide-deck development, training initiatives.
- Provide field-based medical support to Company’s clinical research programs.
- Deliver quality medical education presentations in a variety of settings and obtain valuable feedback that can be disseminated throughout the organization.
- Complete accurate and timely administrative reports, projects and required documentation requests.

**What You Need for Success**:

- Higher degree preferred (PhD, pharmacist, MBChB, MSc)
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years MSL experience in the pharma industry, or equivalent industry experience.
- Ophthalmology experience is desirable.
- Achieving final signatory status for ABPI is preferred or a goal to work towards.
- Established track record of effective and influential oral presentations within the healthcare profession.
- Demonstration of proficiency in key skills and competencies.
