The Orchard Primary School wishes to appoint outstanding, highly motivated and enthusiastic staff to work in our thriving multicultural school. You must have a good command of the English language and be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

We are seeking to recruit a hard-working, reliable and committed person who can work well independently as well as being part of a team. You will need to be have excellent organisation skills with an ability to communicate effectively with children, staff, parents and other outside agencies. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft packages along with the ability to use or learn to use our school Management Information system, ScholarPack.

They will be expected to:

- Be one of the School’s lead First Aiders
- Assess the medical and welfare needs of students and staff as well as administer First Aid as required
- Make and maintain contact with families of children who have suffered illness or injury
- Be aware of the particular medical needs of pupils
- Ensure that pupils with medical needs are supported in school in line with their individual Health Care Plans
- Administer approved medication to children and maintain accurate records
- Look after the medical room and maintain First Aid Resources and organise Training.

The role also involes some other welfare/administrative dutes to support the school.

Previous experience of working with children and having taken relevant training would be an advantage.
