Children's Residential Team Leader

£11.56 - £12.38 per hour, plus £30 per sleep

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join us in our home in Herefordshire. With 10 homes in this region you will be part of a large network of supportive colleagues who all help one another to achieve their personal best.

Role purpose:
To assist and support the Manager/Deputy Manager in achieving the needs and objectives of the home, and to support and manage a team of care workers to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people on a day to day basis.

Shift example: 1 day on 2 days off on a rolling rota - Shifts usually start at 7.30am and finish at either 10pm or 11pm (followed by a sleep in)

To be considered you must

Essential
- Have your own vehicle and a full UK Driving Licence
- Level 3 Residential Childcare
- Minimum of 12 Months experience working in Children’s Residential
- Be self - motivated, Resilient, have a strong work ethic, with positive attitude
- Well organized and passionate for working with children and young people
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Computer Literate (Outlook / Word / Excel)
- Must be able to sleep over
- Be able to lead a team of Care Workers

**Duties**:

- To ensure each shift is planned and resources allocated.
- Dealing with other professional’s to achieve maximum outcomes for our young people
- To offer supervision of the Children and Young People, by ensuring each member of staff is aware of each child’s care plan and their responsibilities for its implementation.
- Attending reviews and planning meetings to provide information to achieve best outcomes for our young people.
- Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model.
- Maintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files to both record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to take place.
- Use of company vehicles
- To ensure that resources are allocated appropriately and financial records are accurately maintained under the direction of the Registered Manager/ the Deputy Manager
- To receive supervision in line with National Minimum Standards and to take responsibility for personal development and progress of individual training needs
- Acting as an appropriate adult at PACE interviews
- Providing supervisory control and direction in relation to staff duties and responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for planning shifts and ensuring their smooth running when on duty
- Developing in consultation with young people and staff routines in relation to all aspects of childcare, etc
