**Role Summary**:We are looking to recruit an apprentice to join the Diocesan Central Services Team, based in Bowen House, 59 Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7JE.

The role involves general administrative work with a focus on reception and switchboard, meeting and greeting people at the door; answering the phone and forwarding calls and messages; making refreshments for meetings; dealing with incoming and outgoing post; printing and photocopying; database input and filing are the key responsibilities of this apprenticeship. However the job holder can expect to be exposed to a range of other administrative tasks.

The apprentice will study for a Level 3 Business Administration qualification and they will also have the opportunity to attend training courses whilst at the Diocese.

We would like someone to start as soon as possible and pay will be dependent on age and any previous experience. We also provide one day a week off for study.

**Key tasks**:

- Delivering excellent customer service and care
- Using a CRM to register and update records
- Sending out thank you letters to supporters
- Printing and packaging newsletters for delivery
- Populating spreadsheets
- General office administration (filing, scanning, designing materials, printing, mail-merging, postage)

**Skills and qualities required**:

- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Experienced with word/excel (further training provided)
- Friendly, organised and enthusiastic individual
- Team player but also confident lone working
- Great people skills - approachable, helpful and friendly
- Professional and resilient
- Self-motivated
- Good telephone skills
- An interest in research and picking out key facts from lots of data and information

**TRAINING PROVIDED**

The Business Administrator Standard aims to equip individuals with highly transferable knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied across many different sectors. In addition to this, business administrators will develop the necessary behaviours and workplace experience to support their progression towards management responsibilities.

It takes approximately 18 months to complete the apprenticeship and you will receive a blended method of learning including Tutor Coach visits, remote learning and attending online workshops, working towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications in:

- Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

Monday - Friday 9am - 5.00pm
