We have an exciting Business Administration Apprentice opportunity at UCLH. We are looking for an apprentice to join the Workforce Intelligence Team within the Workforce Directorate.

This role will report to the ESR Team Lead, accountable to the Workforce Intelligence Manager within Workforce Intelligence to provide important assistance and administrative support to some key initiatives for the department. These include:
Office based administration.

Customer services

Help desk management.

Training of staff including managers

Developing communications including workforce information pages on intranet

Information Reporting

We are looking for applicants who are motivated, have good communication skills and have the ability to work on their own and as part of a team. This is a 21 month fixed term contract whereby you will be working towards an apprenticeship qualification in Business and Administration.

The post holder will need to have good customer service skills and will be required to greet visitors and customers into the department and provide a customer focused service. The post holder will provide sound knowledgeable advice on system queries and assist in the provision of an efficient and courteous reception service for the trust.

The post holder will provide a range of administrative support functions including filing, photocopying, word processing, data inputting. The apprentice will plan, organise and prioritise work with colleagues to deliver a safe and efficient service.

Maths and English GCSEs or Functional Skills certificates will be required before being invited to the assessment session.

The role of apprentice within a team will provide important assistance and administrative support to some key initiatives for the department. These include:
Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the issuance, renewal, and maintenance of NHS Smartcards, an on-site rota is in place and will need to be adhered to.

Assisting with the coordination of the New Starter on-boarding process.

Communication

Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, relatives and carers

Liaise with other departments and wards within the hospital

Type up minutes of meetings and produce agendas where appropriate

To answer/deal with queries, both face to face and via the telephone, take messages and pass them on to the relevant member of staff in an appropriate and timely manner

Customer Service

Greet visitors and customers in to the department and provide a customer focused service

Provide sound knowledgeable advice on system queries

Assist in the provision of an efficient and courteous reception service for the trust

Establish and maintain an effective filing system

Quality

Provide a range of administrative support functions including filing, photocopying, word processing, data inputting
