**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**POSITION TITLE**:Business Administration Apprentice - Operations**

**DIVISION / DEPT**: Finance

**ACCOUNTABILITY**: Finance Manager

**PAY GRADE**: £6 per hour, Paid Monthly

**WORKING HOURS : 9-5pm **4 days Monday - Thursday 9-5am

**LOCATION **:Office

Providing support to the finance manager with reconciliations of the ledgers and transactional processing. Processing refunds through our merchant account and finance business partner. The accounts’ assistant role will develop further as there is need in the finance department.

**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:
The Finance & Operations apprentice will be supporting the Finance & Operations manager with the daily tasks, examples included below:

- Assist the Finance and Operation Manager with daily management of the company shipping schedule
- including communicating with supplier records and updating/uploading details for our freight forwarder records.
- Assist the Finance and Operation Manager with the management of inventory records
- including updating inventory specifications, communicating with supplier.
- Manage the company records for Sofa Swatches and despatch to customers.
- Manage and update/upload new documents to the company google drive.
- Updating our master records for data which is sent by our suppliers - product dimensions, weights and calculating CBM.
- Processing Daily orders via our third party couriers, allocating despatch services and communicating to our couriers.
- Assist with the management of any claims from our third party couriers stock loss during the Delivery process.
- Ad hoc Tasks as needed set by Finance and Operations manager/Director or other managers.

**Experienced/attributes Required**:
- High level of Attention to Detail and Accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Highly organised and Methodical, able to multitask.
- Ability to work on their own initiative.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Experience using computerised accounting software Xero
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Interest in developing the role and position within the business.
