**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Assessment Officer/ Rehabilitation Officer
- Visual Impairment (ROVI) Apprenticeship within the Sensory Team in Salford.

The Sensory Team is part of the Community Learning Disability, Sensory and Transition Service, which is a truly integrated service where you are based together with a Rehabilitation Officer
- Visual Impairment (ROVI) Apprentice on a full-time fixed term contract whilst they complete their 2-year apprenticeship course and off the job training with Birmingham City University.
- Visual Impairment within the Sensory Team on a permanent full-time contract.

The Community Assessment Officer/ Rehabilitation Officer
- Visual Impairment (ROVI) Apprenticeship has a salary of £27,852 - £30,151, and upon successful completion of the apprenticeship course, the salary for a Rehabilitation Officer
- Visual Impairment is £32,909 - £35,411.

**Main duties of the job**:
The Community Assessment Officer/ Rehabilitation Officer
- Visual Impairment (ROVI) Apprenticeship will be covered through a mix of on the job, and off the job training.

The 2-year course will start in September 2023 and the Community Assessment Officer/ Rehabilitation Officer

The apprenticeship course is a way of training the next generation of Rehabilitation Officer
- Visual Impairment, and as part of the apprenticeship course will be required to attend seven block learning weeks in Birmingham. These are spread throughout each of the two academic years.
