Lettings Officer

Initial 3 month contract

Office Based Role, To provide a customer focused rehousing service to support the objectives to prevent and relieve homelessness. Manage a caseload effectively to support and assist customers with rehousing actions that are owed a main housing duty and/or in temporary accommodation over 56 days under a notice period.

Essential Criteria
- Must have experience of working in the Private or Social Housing Sector
- Must have (or demonstrate the ability to learn) an expert knowledge of the housing Act part 6 and 7 and the Social Housing Allocations Policy, Landlord & Tenant, Housing Acts, Welfare Benefits, Homelessness prevention and the Council’s statutory housing duties
- Must have excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of clients including private landlords, letting agents, solicitors and tenants who may have complex needs or challenging behaviour.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and focus.

DBS will be required for this role

Working Monday to Fridaay, 0845 am to 5.15pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £28.00-£35.00 per hour
