Hertfordshire Community Trust are excited to offer a full time Rehabilitation Assistant post within the In-patient Therapy Team at Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital.

QVM is a 21 bedded unit that provides rehabilitation for patients with a wide range of conditions such as post fall, stroke, prolonged hospital stay, orthopaedic surgery prior to discharge into the community.

To work with the therapy staff to provide an integrated service to patients on the Bed Based Rehabilitation Unit

To assist the qualified therapists in the assessment and treatment of patient

To maintain stock and order equipment and supplies as necessary within the department

To provide administrative support as necessary

To assist the qualified therapists in the delivery of the therapy service on the bed based rehabilitation uni

To carry out interventions and tasks as delegated by the qualified therapist

To report back to qualified staff on patient progress and report when reassessment is require

Prescribe, issue and adjust walking aids as directed by the Physiotherapists (following appropriate training) and discuss provision if concerned about the suitability of equipmen
