**Role and Responsibilities**
Your role and responsibilities encompass:

- Providing infrastructure engineering expertise and generating solution designs as an integral part of the senior delivery team.
- Collaborating with partner delivery teams to architect and implement contemporary, scalable infrastructure solutions, leveraging various new and emerging technologies, with a strong emphasis on automation.
- Taking the lead on all aspects of infrastructure management and acceptance, which includes establishing standards and offering your profound technical knowledge to Leidos program teams.
- Engaging with customers on all facets of infrastructure management, including ensuring the assurance and integration of infrastructure services to meet the requirements of multiple lines of business.
- Identifying and seizing business opportunities by leveraging engineering and design best practices.
- Effectively communicating across organizational, technical, and political boundaries while understanding the context.

My client are seeking an individual with exceptional organisational and communication skills, possessing a solid general understanding of infrastructure technologies, including servers, networks/load balancing (both Global and Local), firewalls, SAN storage, and replication. Specifically:

- Demonstrating a high level of knowledge and experience in deploying and managing Windows Server environments within a data center setting. This includes expertise in OS deployment, Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHC), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) from design to implementation and support.
- Exhibiting strong experience in Microsoft virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft System Center (SCCM, SCOM, SCSM, SCVMM) for monitoring and managing data center infrastructure.
- Recognizing the importance of observability in data center operations.
- Possessing a good general understanding of Microsoft technologies such as MS SQL and command-line interface (CLI) tooling like PowerShell.
- Demonstrating substantial experience with Linux (RHEL) and satellite management tooling.
- Having an understanding of DevOps source control and solid experience with configuration as code (CaC) tooling like Ansible.
- Appreciating the principles of containerization and orchestration.
- Exposure to and understanding of hyperscale clouds such as AWS and Microsoft Azure (preferred but not essential).
- Showcasing excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents and ensuring they are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Possessing exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
