The Early Years, Childcare, Families and Analysis directorate we are responsible for a range of policy and delivery programmes that are at the heart of the departments aim to improve support for all families.

We lead the early years and childcare systems in England, working with ministers to ensure families can access high quality, affordable childcare and early education and transforming wider family services.

We are looking for an organized, confident, proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment to help us deliver support to our Families Support Division.

**Job description**:
In this role, you will provide a comprehensive range of administrative support to Families Support Division and you will have the opportunity to contribute to an inclusive, engaging, and high performing culture in the division, along with the following:

- You will build and maintain strong relationships in this division and across the wider Directorate.
- You will need to be able to identify and manage multiple priorities, write and communicate clearly and succinctly & liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders and work collaboratively.
- You will support the divisions PMO team with finance and resourcing matters.
- You will carry out secretariat functions for SLT and divisional meetings.
- You will be involved in work to support the well being of colleagues and the promotion of quality ways of working.

**About the Apprenticeship**:
As this role includes completion of the Business Administration Apprenticeship** **(Level 3) please check the eligibility requirements below using the apprenticeship standard Business administrator / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education.
- You must have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date and not be undertaking another apprenticeship at the same time.
- You must not already have a substantial amount of the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
- You must not have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
- You already have all the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
- You have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
- You have a degree (or equivalent) in Business**.**:

- Part of this apprenticeship is to complete a level 2 English and maths functional skills qualification. If you have already achieved GCSEs in English and maths at Level 4 (grade C) or equivalent or a higher grade, you will not need to complete the functional skills qualification.

At the enrolment stage, the individual's eligibility will be checked by the training provider.
