**TEXO Recruitment **are looking to recruit an experienced Store Person / Goods Receiver to join the team at Port Services in Blyth, Northumberland to work on a **TEMPORARY** basis, initially, to handle an increased workload, but there is the potential for this role to move into a permanent one.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods in and products out to feed business operations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Identifying, recommending and implementing, as required, opportunities for improved efficiencies or added value within the warehouse function
- Assisting with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization operations
- Ensuring tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order
- Maintaining accurate records and assist with inventory control by QR Codes, company centrik system and online portal for calibration, maintenance etc.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or issues
- Responsible for the control of Health & Safety within the warehouse and stores, ensuring that all procedures are adhered to
- Handling any hazardous materials in a appropriate manner
- Keeping areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
- Reviewing, reporting and addressing any specific performance issues or complaints about service levels to line management
- Ensuring all Company and site policies, procedures and processes are adhered to
- Using forklifts, hand carts, or pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange stock accordingly
- Strategically storing stock, equipment and tools to maximize storage space within the warehouse
- Carrying out additional duties as reasonably requested

With this role requiring the use of forklifts, a forklift licence will be required.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: From £12.50 per hour
