Job Title **:Band 4 Hospital Specialty Executive Officer**
Location : Belfast BT7
Duration : 3 Months
Rate : £12.25p/h
Hours : 37.5hpw
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES**
1. To provide support to the Hospital Specialty Training Department as required.
2. Ensure that structures and processes are in place to enable regulatory standards to be demonstrated for medical training programmes and junior doctors
3. To book venues, speakers and equipment for events in line with NIMDTA policies for example obtaining appropriate quotes to ensure value for money.
4. Coordinate the travel arrangements for Lead Educators and all external visitors to the Deanery in line with policies and guidance
5. To develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders e.g. HSC Trust HR and Postgraduate Medical Education Departments, Lead Educators, Educational Supervisors, Clinical Supervisors, National Recruitment Offices.
6. To identify risks within the department and highlight these to the Hospital Specialty Training Manager and Director of Hospital Specialty Training.
7. To participate in quality improvement activities within the department.
8. To ensure that all department information is stored and destroyed in accordance with NIMDTA’s Record Management & Disposal Policy.
9. To assist NIMDTA in the promotion of equality of opportunity and good relations, in compliance with Section 75 and Schedule 9 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
**Essential Criteria**:
1. GCSE Maths and GCSE English (A-C) OR equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR higher qualification
**AND**
2 A Levels OR equivalent OR higher qualification
**AND**
18 months’ relevant experience*
**OR**
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience*
2. Experience in use of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
3.Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criterion will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by The Organisation which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
**Desirable Criteria**:
1. Six month’s experience in co-ordinating arrangements for events.
2. One year’s experience of providing administrative support to committees to include minute taking.
3.Experience of financial administration, to include processing payments and invoices.
