What to Expect
- Tesla seeks an EMEA Sustainability Reporting Specialist - this role is a member of Tesla’s global sustainability team and will support in leading Tesla’s strategy on EMEA sustainability reporting including sustainability regulations, compliance and other ESG reporting.

Due to collaboration with other teams across Tesla, it requires the role to be based from the office a minimum of four days per week.

What You’ll Do
- In partnership with the global sustainability reporting team, lead Tesla’s EMEA sustainability compliance program, including actively tracking sustainability compliance and disclosure requirements and trends (i.e. CSRD, CSDDD, CBAM); translating / communicating implications to the relevant Tesla leaders; and submitting disclosures.
- Support Tesla’s relevant initiatives to meet EMEA sustainability requirements.
- Contribute relevant EMEA sustainability content required for entity and other financial reporting, including the development and execution of proper controls.
- Support broader ESG reporting including business questionnaires and specified rating/ ranking agencies.
- Support Tesla’s global sustainability management strategy and governance development ensuring alignment between the global, regional and country levels.
- Lead Tesla’s EMEA sustainability working groups with the global sustainability team.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to collect Tesla’s EMEA sustainability data collection for reporting, including energy, GHG emissions, waste and water.
- Support the development of materials across various mediums (Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote etc.). Communicate EMEA sustainability disclosure requirements to relevant stakeholders across Tesla related GHG emissions, workforce management, life cycle assessments, human rights due diligence, etc.
- Partner with various teams across Tesla including Global sustainability team, Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit and other leaders to support preparation of disclosures for Tesla’s Impact Report. This includes supporting in gathering data and metrics, developing narratives, and data assurance tasks.

What You’ll Bring
- A degree in public policy, sustainability, environmental management, communications or business, or equivalent is preferred
- Extensive experience related to sustainability and / or environmental impact, with direct experience developing and implementing sustainability compliance within EMEA.
- Current and clear understanding of sustainability issues and related frameworks, particularly as it applies and overlaps with increasing sustainability reporting regulation and ESG reporting related to manufacturing, mining, technology, and energy industries.
- A passion for impact-related work and a desire to innovate, not just check boxes.
- Strong organizational skills and project management skills - possesses the ability to successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong data management and program development skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to adapt to different formats (dashboards, internal trainings, annual reports, etc.).
- Ability to be flexible and change pace often.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely and communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders across multiple time zones.
- Ability to maintain discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
