We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our HR Business Improvement Team based within our Wakefield One building in central Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity to use and develop your existing HR skills to make a difference.

With your ‘can do’ approach, as our HR Improvement Officer you’ll work collaboratively with management and HR colleagues to deliver professional HR advice and guidance to our Children and Young People Directorate on a range of HR matters. including recruitment, attendance management, redeployment, and organisational change.

Your drive for continuous improvement, combined with your ability to manipulate and analyse data, and build strong and effective professional relationships and networks, will help you to identiy and make recommendations to help shape a broad range of developmental HR projects and service improvement initiatives to really make a difference.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- a generalist HR background.
- the ability to influence and be confident in the delivery of HR advice to support the service.
- experience of working within well-established policies and procedures to reach appropriate solutions.
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse with a range of internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- the ability to be open to change and new ways of working and be able to identify and take forward areas for development.
- experience of using HR systems and be confident in your ability to use Microsoft packages.

**Salary**: £31,099.00-£33,820.00 per year
