**The Role**

We're looking for an experienced Archivist to join us for a fixed term contract of 3 months, with the potential for it to be extended.

Your primary focuss will involve organising and cataloguing archive information from our archive collections - Bylander, CNM and Elliott Wood, ensuring that analogue and digital information is stored and managed appropriately and in an accessible and consistent format.

By digitising our archive collection and enabling our engineers and others to have access to archive information you can support the reuse of existing buildings to have a positive impact on the planet and society.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Preparation of files
- Scanning of files and all associated documents
- Recording of and uploading data to our archiving management system
- Maintenance of the archive collection, ensuring it is handled delicately and in kept in good order and good condition
- Ensuring records are available to users in formats such as photocopies, microfiche and digitally, ensuring document naming is in line with our document management system.
- Updating the archive map with key information and newly sourced information

**About You**
- An experienced Archivist who can hit the ground running
- Available immediately and able to commit to at least 3 months full-time work
- Experience working with archive information, files and materials
- Sound knowledge of archive theory and practice including archival arrangement and descriptions and experience of cataloguing using electronic archival cataloguing system
- Good knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
- Good knowledge of The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
