**Purpose of the job**
The Archivist is responsible for the organisation, maintenance, and accessibility of clinical trial source documents, including Source Workbooks. They work to ensure that these materials are properly maintained, scanned, and sent to an external archive for long-term storage.
**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Collect, organise, and manage clinical trial Source documents
- Scan clinical trial documentation and organise electronic archiving
- Send and retrieve clinical trial documentation to/from external archive
- Keep up to date archiving relevant documentation e.g. scanning logs
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain archival skills and knowledge
**Additional responsibilities**
- Train junior and other staff members in archiving related activities e.g. how to keep source documentation in good quality.
