A multinational investment bank and brokerage is looking for a junior accountant to join their London team as a revenue analyst.

This role will span across Europe, mainly focusing on London and Frankfurt but also covering, France, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.

They are a business which has an appetite for buying and they just closed on a new acquisition, so you'll get many different challenges thrown at you which keeps the work interesting

They will also support your studies towards ACCA or CIMA if this is something you wish to do.

If you can speak German, that would be a huge advantage but not compulsory

Responsibilities of revenue analyst:

- Liaise with sales teams to follow up on non-payment where appropriate;
- Supporting invoicing and related activities for Investment Banking
- Ensuring revenue is accounted for in accordance with the practice and accounting policies.
- Operating under US GAAP, IFRS and HGB (German GAAP);
- Ensuring sub-ledgers (including SalesForce and Global Trades) are updated to capture research revenues in a timely and accurate manner;
- Ensuring month end deadlines and reporting requirements are met;
- Month and year end account reconciliations;
- Working closely with the Finance teams in both London and Frankfurt. Occasional travel to Frankfurt may be required.

**Requirements**:

- Have experience 12-24 months experience in a bookkeeping role - need to have broader experience than just AP responsibilities
- Financial services experience is an advantage;
- Reasonable understanding of UK VAT. Willing to develop this knowledge to other European markets;
- Fluent English speaker with strong German an advantage
