**Job description**:
The Administrative Officer will provide administrative support to all doctors and practice medical staff within the Medical Centre. Dealing with patients by telephone and written correspondence, whilst maintaining patient confidentiality adhering to Caldicott Principles.

Your duties will include working on the main reception as and when required, greeting patients and visitors to the facility in a friendly and professional manner and answering any queries patients may have regarding their appointments. Making appointments and maintaining the appointment system on the Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP).

**Person specification**:
Main details of the role include but are not limited to:

- Using the Electronic Referral System (ERS) to refer patients to various hospitals within our area as per General Practitioner (GP) requests. You will need to liaise with patients to advise both appointment dates and locations.
- Processing Subject Access Requests via the E-Case (electronic) System.
- Providing cover for the main reception.
- Processing requests for service spectacles, allergy tags etc.
- 'Scanning and tasking' incoming mail in addition to everyday scanning of medical documentation.
