Are you a qualified or soon to be qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) looking for a service that is committed to your ongoing professional development? A service that puts staff wellbeing and patient care at the heart of everything they do? If so, the Buckinghamshire Healthy Minds IAPT service has a great opportunity for you
This is an excellent opportunity to join Oxford Health, a large NHS Foundation trust with a strong track record for supporting the development of psychological therapy services including two adult IAPT services and a range of specialised psychological therapy services. Healthy Minds and the Trust provide regular high quality CPD and training. The Trust hosts the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research and the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre. Healthy Minds is actively involved in research, participating in a number of local and national studies. The service benefits from being a member of the Oxford Academic Health Science Network - Anxiety and Depression Network led by Professor David Clark.
You will offer initial assessments and NICE approved treatments for adults experiencing common mental health problems. Interventions will be delivered using Guided Self-help (Telephone, video and Face to Face), Computerised CBT and Psycho-educational Courses. You will be provided with a clear and suitable work plan enabling you to demonstrate that you are meeting the standards expected for each intervention. You will be offered opportunities to participate in a range of innovative workstreams and projects, such as Digital interventions for Social Anxiety Disorder, Perinatal Disorders and Long-Term physical health Conditions.
We offer robust and supportive supervision from skilled supervisors and managers, with the opportunity to learn to become a case management supervisor yourself. We are committed to providing ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and in addition to in-house training you will have an annual CPD budget for relevant external courses.
Healthy Minds is a nationally recognized, high-performing, and innovative IAPT service who this year will be supporting over 12,000 adults to manage their common mental health difficulties. Our staff group of around 250 include Psychological Therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Employment Advisors, Administrators, Data Leads and Operational Managers. We are based amongst the beautiful rolling Chiltern Hills, making Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area, stunning places to work and live.
Staff wellbeing is a top priority in Healthy Minds. We have our own very active, award winning, wellbeing team within the service and take a pride in maintaining a supportive, collaborative, and productive culture.
Benefits of working for Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust include:
- Excellent opportunities for career progression
- 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, with an increase to 33 days with continuous service
- NHS Discount across a wide range of shops, restaurants and retailers
- Staff accommodation
