The post holder must understand all aspects of a patients pathway from the referral into the Trust to the actual first treatment for the condition. The post holder is responsible for ensuring Trust Staff are advised and supported in the knowledge required for PAS entry and amendments including all the following: Reading & understanding patient case-notes which requires knowledge of medical terminology Receipt & entry of the referral Booking & cancelling Out-patient appointments Post Session Recording of Out-patient attendances Adding patients to Daycase/Inpatient waiting lists TCI (To come in) offers, deferred treatment Admitting, transferring & discharging patients RTT status code at all points of a patients pathway How to correct PAS entries by unpicking & re-entering information To have extensive knowledge of PAS policies and the RTT Access policy. They must communicate a full understanding of Trust Policies and the RTT Access Policy.
