**Job summary**:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a health and wellbeing advisor. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our “front of house” team in a fast-paced environment delivering expert customer service and health care advice in the heart of the local community. Health and wellbeing advisors are the first point of contact for all customers ensuring all enquires are dealt with sensitively and appropriately. Under the direction of a registered pharmacist, you will work with patients every day offering advice on over-the-counter medication, healthy living, and basic health care checks.

**Reporting to**: Health and wellbeing department manager

**Activities & responsibilities**:

- To ensure the pharmacy environment is inviting, welcoming and professional.
- To greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- To accurately complete financial transactions with customers.
- Provide excellent customer service through all forms of communication, in store, telephone and electronically always maintaining confidentiality.
- To respond and provide appropriate advice to customers on common ailments, symptoms, and products.
- To have knowledge and understanding of suitable products for common symptoms reported and provide appropriate advice on their correct use.
- Advocate and deliver advice on enhanced pharmacy services available.
- Manage patient expectations with appropriate waiting times / appointments.
- Identify medicine related problems or queries and bring these to the attention of the pharmacist.
- To have a good understanding of the retail brands available and advocate sales within store.
- Ensuring all daily operational tasks are completed to provide a safe and clean working environment.
- Assist in the ordering, receiving, and unloading of stock daily.
- Keeping up to date with mandatory training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of over-the-counter remedies and minor ailments.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Be an active advocate for wider Cure Clinics services.

**About you**:
Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate:

- Experience of working within a community pharmacy or retail setting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A desire to be a part of a wider healthcare vision that strives to provide expert care to their local community when they need it and how they want it.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience of handling money and maintaining finance records.
- Ability to work within a busy environment and at times under pressure.
- IT literate and good level of numeracy skills.
- Be 16 years of age or older.
- Will undertake appropriate DBS check and references.

**Working pattern**:
Full-time role 40 hours per week with the requirement to participate in 7 days working
including bank holidays if required.

**Pay**: £10.75 per hour rising to £11.75 on 1st April 2024

**Closing date: 16th February 2024**
