**Senior Support Worker Job Description**
**£13.44 per hour plus £250 Bonus**

**Main Purpose**
The purpose of Cedar Health and Wellbeing is to provide community-based support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and who may demonstrate behaviours of concern. We hope to achieve this by providing well trained, caring, and competent support staff to help develop their knowledge and independent living skills to enable them to make informed choices.
You'll lead and supervise a team of support workers to ensure they provide high quality care and support through, Person centred support, leading team meetings, completing inductions, and observational supervisions and working in partnership with other professionals to ensure individuals receive the support they need.
**Behaviours & values**:

- You will continuously train and develop your personal skills and knowledge to give you the ability to meet the needs of the individual as well as your staff team.
- Be able to delegate tasks to your team
- Be able to take lead while supporting individuals in times of crisis.
- To ensure good professional practices are established and maintained with relevant parties.
**Job Specification**:
- You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining up to date support plans, implementing and reviewing any changes and ensuring staff teams are aware of changes.
- Facilitate core team meetings, staff responsive and staff observational supervisions.
- Completion of medication accreditations
- Ensure all protocols and risk assessments are up to date and relevant
- Weekly medication audits and returns to be completed and sent to the appropriate pharmacy.
- Ensure rota has no open shifts, these must be covered to ensure delivered hours.
- Manage all activity monies daily, all documentation to be completed and receipts signed
- Ensure all appointments, outings or events are met, and all relevant documentation completed.
- Support the development of person-centred planning, ensuring each individual’s plan is meaningful and achievable
- To ensure the service is kept clean and tidy
- Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly audits have been completed
- Excellent communication and written skills
- To complete all mandatory and role specific training to promote your skills and knowledge
- Ability to prioritise workload
- To familiarise themselves with company policies and procedures
- To ensure best practice is always followed both in service and outside
- To ensure staff are competent and authorised to complete certain tasks
**Additional Duties**:
- Senior Support Worker will be required to participate in the on-call rota
- Promote the organisation in a positive manner
