Nineteen Recruitment is delighted to working with a local client, recruiting on their behalf for several Social Work Assistants, roles that are available on a full-time basis, working multiple locations based in the Northumberland area. These roles are long-term and commands a standard hourly rate of £14.17 per hour.

**Job description**

You will be contributing to the assessment of social care problems and support the development of care plans. This can include knowledge of day-care and other service provision within the area and parenting assessments.

As well as this you will be handling a caseload of fewer complex problems are presented as described in the career grade document or child in need cases including services and to be able to manage this and plan the work to support the cases.

You will be establishing and maintaining appropriate working relationships with individuals, groups, families, and staff from other agencies. This would include working with people who could be disturbed, upset and present challenging behaviours.
- UK based work experience working with children and families
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
- Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- NVQ Level 3 in childcare/social care or equivalent
