Credit Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a knowledgeable and confident Credit Control professional to join a reputable business based in the Doncaster area.
Working as part of a team, you will be required to undertake all aspects of credit control including accurate daily invoicing and cash allocation, as well as prompt collection of payments from retailers and developers. You must be an excellent communicatorwith good negotiation and decision-making skills, as well as being organised, methodical and analytical.
Duties of the Credit Controller include:
- To contact customers regarding overdue payments
- Ensure payment is by cleared funds wherever possible e.g. bank transfer, debit/credit card
- To allocate payments accurately onto customer accounts
- To collate account queries and liaise with the appropriate departments for accurate and timely resolution
- Perform daily invoicing routine
- To liaise with colleagues regarding customer credit limits and make contact with those customers in excess of the credit limits
- To conduct credit checks on prospective accounts as requested by members of the sales teams
- To conduct annual and on-going credit checks when necessary
- To monitor slow or non-paying accounts and hold/release orders when necessary
- Negotiate and agree repayment plans
- Process and post monthly statements
- Provide daily support to the sales teams regarding the supply of current account information
Role requirements include:
- At least 2 years' experience working within a credit control function
- Ability to work well in demanding environments
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills
