This is a night shift position. General hours of work are 48 hours per week, worked on a 4 on/ 4 off basis.

Who is Chevron Traffic Management?

In simple terms, Chevron Traffic Management is the company that sets up temporary road or lane closures, diversions routes or pedestrian walkways to keep road workers and road users safe while roadworks are underway. This involves putting out road cones, signage, temporary traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and barriers. Our work is visible all over the country. The next time you are out and about and see roadworks, have a look at the signage. It is possible that Chevron Traffic Management put them there.

It involves consulting, planning, designing, estimating and liaising with our suppliers and our customers to ensure that our schemes are fit for purpose. About the role:
The Night Supervisor role is essential to the efficient running of the depot. You will cover the night shifts and assist with the programming of works and in the managing of all resources relevant to the works. You will supervise all works and assist and lead the operatives on shift.

Record-keeping contributes largely to the role. In return, this will assist the commercial team by ensuring accurate records of all operations are captured at each step in relation to plant and labour. Producing operational documents and drawings for various schemes will also be under your remit.

At the start of each shift you will deliver Toolbox Talks, Safety Alerts and any other relevant correspondence. This will ensure that your team is fully briefed and understand what is expected of them. Whilst undertaking your role, you will build solid relationships with both colleagues, sub-contractors and clients and ensure that any issues are raised and acted upon efficiently and effectively.

Health and Safety is at the forefront of all our operations. You will also maximize the utilization of new technologies into schemes of work, introducing products into work programmes. This will ensure improved efficiency and safety, and will maintain Chevron's position as a workzone safety leader.

When required you will also be expected to follow the accident and incident reporting process, carry out investigations, and collate all evidence, producing statements and reports, accurately and efficiently.

About you:
Highly motivated you are a confident individual, with good knowledge of the Traffic Management industry. As you know things happen unexpectedly all the time in this industry and no two hours are the same, as such you need to be keenly attentive - adapting to ever changing situations will come naturally. You will be an excellent communicator and team worker and be proficient in the use of a PC and the use of Microsoft office software. You will have proven experience of leadership and demonstrate qualities which highlight where you have lead by example.

What good looks like for a Night Supervisor:

- Previous demonstrable, practical experience in the TM Industry with involvement in 12d works
- Happy to work permanent night shifts
- Hold a current minimum of Lantra 12D M1 & M2
- Proficient in the use of a PC and the Microsoft Office suite of software
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidently able to deliver presentations to the workforce
