**Financial Administration Officer Part-time. Initial 9 hours per week for minimum probationary period 4 months. Starting salary. National Min wage.**:

- Handle telephone enquiries and deal with answer phone messages, responding to all enquiries.Liaise appropriately with outside agencies when required to do so.
- Ensure all records are correctly filed and the filing system is updated regularly.
- Bank daily takings as required and ensure daily reconciliation is accurate.
- Workwith the Office Manager and alongside volunteers and other staff members
- Help in the promotion of the Credit Union.
- Undertake any other duties that ensure the efficient daily running of the office.
- Undertake statutory training in data protection and health and safety, also where appropriate relevant training with ABCUL.

**DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE**
- Previous direct experience of working in a customer service environment.
- Experience in data entry
- Experience in cash handling or working in a financial environment is desirable.
- Experience of working as part of a team and under own initiative

**KNOWLEDGE**
- Basic knowledge and understanding of credit unions and their objectives.
- GCSE Maths and English grade C or above

**SKILLS**
- Experience in using Microsoft Office programs and other business databases.
- Confident with the use of computers and online systems
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing to a diverse group of members.
- Work effectively as part of a team

**JOB PURPOSE**

You will adhere to all regulatory requirements as well as our in-house policies and ensure that all customer inquiries or complaints, by all communication methods, are accurately logged and tracked to an acceptable resolution.

**Responsibilities**
- Deliver customer service to a high standard, with focus on meeting the needs of the customer within the parameters of what can reasonably be delivered.
- Responsible for clear and accurate communication, and accurate handling of transactions.
- Follow all protocols and policy guidelines.
- Processing payments at front desk and/or electronically if required, with due attention to accuracy and the safety of cash and cheques issued and received.
- Enrol new members, providing membership information, paying due care and attention to anti-money laundering requirements to minimise fraud and financial crime.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 4 months
Part-time hours: 9 per week

**Salary**: £16,926.43-£27,874.88 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

- Bacup, OL13 9NH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
