We are looking for a Senior Insights Advisor to join our team to commission and deliver actionable research that can be taken up by our internal users.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?

Corporate Affairs is comprised of specialist teams that work in delivery teams; Planning & Insight, Public Participation, Funding & Partnerships, Communications, Campaigns and Brand. You will be working in the Insight Team, alongside colleagues in Planning & Insight - who are made up of strategists, insight leads, delivery, and planning teams.

What will I be doing?

Using your global research skills and strategic experience to commission insight programmes on key audiences and stakeholders - science researchers, fundees, policy makers, and the public affected by our priority health areas. You will collaborate to ensure take up of actionable insights by teams that design integrated communications and engagement programmes, as well as other audience centred initiatives.

Insight covers the full spectrum of; contextual insight on a problem or opportunity space, delivering insight which helps our teams to develop engagement and communication solutions for our audiences and stakeholders, through to tracking the impact and effectiveness of our work in Corporate Affairs. On the whole, you won’t directly conduct research yourself - other than occasional desk research, interviews, or internal focus groups.

As a Senior Insight Advisor you will:
- Design, commission and deliver global insight projects and programmes to support strategic development of brand, audience strategy, communications, campaigns, and community engagement.- Commission and deliver audience and stakeholder insight projects and programmes on one or more of the following health areas; Discovery Research, Mental Health, Infectious Disease, Climate & Health - likely to be and- Act in different capacities to lead or advise on the design and execution of global insight projects and programmes and manage agencies relationships for timely delivery.- Create engaging and concise audience insight outputs that summarise and synthesise work for our different internal users, so that they can easily act on those findings.- Contribute to insight practices that ensure our work in the Insight Team is inclusive, equitable, and culturally fit. Build in work and practice from colleagues in our CEDI team (Culture, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) - such as our anti-racist and anti-ableist principles.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience of:
- Working in multi-disciplinary teams to design and manage agency delivery of mixed method global research projects and programmes that generate actionable insights.- Designing and implementing insights to inform campaigns and communication pre-testing, measurement, and evaluation.- Leading strategic and inclusive insight programmes in the global health ecosystem- Communicating complex information clearly and persuasively to colleagues without technical expertise, and framing insights so that they are actionable and easy to use.- Contributing to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, working across departments.
