Job Title: CCTV Controller
Rate: £13.00 per hour
Contracted Hours: 3 Days, 3 Nights, 3 Rest Avg: 56 hours
Role:
Working within this flagship building, your primary role is to ensure the security of people, premises, and property.
As a CCTV Controller you will supervise all aspects of the client’s/tenant’s security requirements.
This position will form a key part in assisting the Security Manager with daily task and objectives that need to be adhered to in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreement (SLA).
You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well drilled security operation.
**Responsibilities**:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors
- Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client and tenants
- Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
- Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated
- Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is clear, courteous, polite, professional, and respectful
- Ensure complete client/tenant/other service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount
- Where applicable: appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion
- Be familiar with all Security ad Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice.
- All Assigment Instructions / Operations Manual or Standard Operating Procedures are to be reviewed, understood, and followed
- Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard
- Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA, GDPR or other relevant regulations
- To support internal and external audit processes from Unitrust Security representatives, Client/Tenant Representatives, the SIA, any other relevant body with a relevant interest and valid reason for inspection or compliance checks
- Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people, and challenges
- Assist in the induction, development, or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate
- Act in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and our Code of Conduct
Security CCTV Controller duties:
- To operate internal/external security CCTV systems on a regular basis ensuring familiarity of site layout, building and GDPR processes.
- Upkeep of key asset tracking and other administrative tasks pertaining to the security control room and workload activities - archiving daily paperwork, clear reporting writing, ID card management, IT movement, records etc.
- Providing a customer focused service, always maintaining a professional and courteous manner towards the public, the client, residents, and colleagues.
- Ensure Health and Safety of staff and visitors as per safety file. Responding to all emergencies in accordance with Control Room procedures.
- To play an integral role in any emergency including evacuation, dealing with antisocial behaviour, first aid incidents (or assistance to trained first-aiders)
- To prevent loss, damage, and theft of assets by carrying out regular camera Patrols
Essential Skills CCTV Controller
- CCTV Controller
- Valid SIA SG/DS licence
- CCTV Licence
- Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
- Surveillance and access control system knowledge
- Excellent Communication Skills.

- Previous CCTV/Controller experience desired

- Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and prioritise to help solve problems and overcome challenges
- Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented
- Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required
- Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes
- Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the context of the current environment
- Flexibility regarding working practices, hours, and responsibilities.
- First Aid at work or the ability to train and retain this qualification if required
- Operation of CCTV/access control (specifically C-Cure) communications in an appropriate professional manner
