Position Descriptions

Hands On Cleaning Area Supervisor

**Job Function**:
(i) The Area Supervisor is responsible for efficient and safe work practices by cleaning staff, and ensuring all duties stated on the specification is carried out with mínimal to no interruption to the client and in a manner which does not endanger the employee, client or the public. All equipment is in good working order and all deliveries are made in a timely manner.

**Qualifications and Competency Requirements**:
Previous experience in a supervisory role Good communication skills

Certificate II - Cleaning Operations

**Authorities**:

- Identify and report workplace hazards.
- Identify and reporting Staff performance.

**Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities**:
**(i)**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Ensure cleaner’s storerooms are constantly maintained in a neat and tidy manner.
- Ensure staff are using correct chemicals and dilutions.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Implement Best Practice procedures where necessary i.e. streamline procedures.
- Arrange for same or next day repair of damaged/faulty equipment.
- Quality, Environment and WHS Responsibilities
- Provide constant communication with Site Supervisor/Area Manager and customers to ensure the highest quality service.
- Daily interaction with staff re. job performance and expectations.
- Monitor workplace methods and practices to ensure safe operating procedures are being followed.
- Identify safety risks and initiate controls to eliminate or control the risks. This may include the identification of some training.
- Inform management of any incidents or accidents, which may require investigation or other, follow up.
- The Hands on Area Supervisor will be responsible for cleaning, training of existing and new start employees.
- The Hands on Area Supervisor will be also, responsible for cleaning a few sites along with his duties on a regular basis.
- This position requires full weekend availability.
- Working hours for this position are 6pm to 2am, but may vary from day to day.

**Performance Review and Training**:
Annual performance review by Site Supervisor Review to include:

- Projected performance against actual performance.
- New initiatives.
- Meeting of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Performance targets for the next year.
- Planned performance improvements (as necessary)
- Training needs and plans for training over the next year.

** Australian Driver License**

** Working rights in Australia.**

** Working with children check.**

** National police check.**

** Vehicle.**

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: From £30.00 per hour
