**Position**
- Simply Crochet _is part of Our Media’s market leading stable of craft magazines - an exciting division that includes (among others) _Love Embroidery, Simply Sewing, _and _Love Patchwork & Quilting._

Launched in 2013 Simply Crochet quickly became a market leading title for the craft of crochet offering modern, trend-led projects for crocheters of all abilities. Innovation and style are at the heart of the brand’s success with projects that are both inspirational and achievable. Packed with patterns, the 84 page magazine also features how-tos, long form articles, techniques and news for the global crochet community.

The Production Editor is a vital role working as part of a small, highly efficient team. It will be your responsibility to manage the page production process of the magazine to the highest possible standard and to deadline, maintaining a consistent editorial tone. Excellent writing and editing skills are essential with a flair for persuasive communication, as is an ability to adapt copy to magazine style, and a keen eye for detail and accuracy. You will have confidence in your abilities, be a brilliant organiser, a great communicator and a team player.

**Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Experience of the production process
- Excellent command of written English, including the ability to adapt tone to magazine style
- Excellent subbing, editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational abilities, with experience of putting good process management into practice and prioritising workload
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office and general Mac skills
- Ability to produce engaging content for social media channels such as Instagram and Facebook

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of the craft market/personal interest in craft and ideally crochet specifically
- Experience of creating online content, e.g. writing for digital platforms
