**The Role**:
To undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or community setting. The post-holder will require to work without direct supervision on a regular basis, referring to the registered nurse as required.

**What we'll need you to bring**:

- SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development. Working knowledge of basic information technology

**It would be great if you also have**:

- Up to date with NHS mandatory training/evidence of core training from external organisations
- Experience of working within a healthcare setting
- Experience working with people who have mental health/health care needs
- Experience of working within health inpatient setting

**Location and Working Pattern**:
This role will be based in Glencairn Rehabilitation Unit, Mental Health, Coathill Hospital.

The working pattern for this role: 5 days over a 7 days - day shift, late shift, night shift
