- Supporting a lady with cerebral palsy living within her own home and community around North Anston.
- My client is looking for a reliable Personal Assistant: Housekeeper/driver to support her and her family with everyday activities including household duties and accessing work. You will be included in activities of family living. A driving license is essential for this post.
- My client lives at home with her husband and young daughter. The family enjoy spending time together and accessing the community.
- The Personal Assistant: Housekeeper/driver will need to maintain professional boundaries, respect, and dignity at all times.
- To follow the client-specific Support Plan and company policies during your duties and undertaking training as required.
**Responsible to: Jessica Wise, Case Manager**

**Essential Criteria**:
- Ability to work the shifts required; weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in shifts
- Punctuality and good timekeeping
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Awareness of risk, ability to identify areas of risk and present ideas of how to reduce that risk
- A full driving license is essential as the role requires you to drive the client’s automatic vehicle
- To have a knowledge or level of understanding around Brain Injury/Cerebral Palsy
- An understanding of the ‘enabling approach’ and the ability to judge when direction needs to be offered to the client
- The ability to follow the support plan, the Case Manager and guidance, and to accept feedback
- To display an understanding that the workplace is also the client’s home
- Have flexibility and a willingness to step in and help the client and family when the situation demands in
- Experience of working with children, with an enhanced CRB, to facilitate leisure activities for our client and their child

**Key Responsibilities**:
- To always promote the safety of the client and act in the client’s best interests
- Support the client with their work, getting to, from and around the workplace
- Support with errands to shops and other odd jobs
- Support with all activities of family living
- To undertake all mandatory and client specific training relevant to the role
- To act as an appropriate role model at all times
- Supporting with driving to work and other chosen social activities, as guided by the client
- To facilitate a supportive yet non-intrusive presence whilst working in the family home
- Have flexibility and a willingness to step in and help the client and family when the situation demands it
- Be conscientious, have good timekeeping and good record keeping
- To be competent using a laptop/computer
- To establish a positive working relationship with the client’s family
- To be responsible for the client via the Case Manager
- To participate in regular reviews and receive clinical supervision as arranged by the Case Manager
- To liaise closely with the Case Manager and other professionals
- To accompany the client on holidays and weekends away if required
- To ensure client confidentiality in record keeping and discussions concerning the client
- Comply with requirements/ regulations pertaining to health and safety at work
- Carry out any other appropriate and reasonable duties required to ensure the client’s physical, emotional and psychological needs are met, as agreed with the Case Manager, client, family or rehabilitation team
**Pay & Conditions**
You will be responsible to and supervised by the Case Manager and/or Director of Services.
You will receive a permanent contract, which includes a 6-month probationary period.
Annual leave: 28 days including Bank Holidays pro rata.
Training and regular supervision provided.
You will be paid via BACS credit into your bank account on a calendar monthly basis.
**Rates of pay**:
**Weekdays - £13.50 per hour**
**Weekends - £14.50 per hour**
**Public Holidays - £27.00 per hour**
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £13.50-£27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
