**HR Advisor - Systems & Administration - Coventry Plant**

**Company Overview**

**Role overview**:
The HR Advisor will support the Plant HR team with all HR administration and various HR projects. Help to provide HR advice in line with employment law and Company policy. 1st level point of contact for Operational queries.

**Scope of the position**

Supporting the site HR team with generalist duties

Supporting with employee relations issues e.g., Attendance Reviews, Disciplinary, Grievance & Flexible working

HR System and T&A activities

Advising Managers on time and attendance and pay related issues

Responsible for coordinating all departmental administration

Maintain GDPR compliance

**Main Responsibilities**:
**General**
- Accountability and responsibility for the Employee lifecycle i.e. New Starters, leavers and changes administration. Inductions and Exit Interviews.
- Providing daily administrative support and first line advice on all HR matters.
- Maintenance of HR database information and trackers i.e. absence, ER and payroll.
- Management of HR inbox and escalating issues to relevant HR team member where necessary
- Ensure that all employee notice boards are up to date and are monitored regularly.
- Ordering stationary for the HR department
- Support with raising PO’s
- Carry out HR project work
- Any other reasonable requests within the scope of the role and capability

**Employee Relations**
- Support with Employee Relations issues such as Investigations, Disciplinaries (up to and including dismissal); Grievances, Flexible Working Requests and Performance Management.
- Effectively manage short and long-term absence processes, to drive a reduction to below the Company target
- Support Managers, providing advice and guidance in respect of all ER matters escalating complex cases and appeals as appropriate within the HR structure.
- Work alongside other members of the HR team to ensure that all employee relations issues are dealt with in a timely manner in line with the Company policies and procedures
- Work with Occupational Health & Management to ensure that all employees with restrictions or issues are being managed back into the business, escalating capability cases if required.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing Policies & Procedures and suggest improvements where necessary
- Liaise with and develop an effective working relationship with the union representatives

**Systems and Administration**
- Introduce and improve current HR processes and systems
- Ensure consistency and Standard Operating Procedures are in place for all processes in the HR Department
- Responsible for HR Systems and Administration processes
- Maintain document control in line with Quality processes
- Conduct regular audit of various HR Admin tasks across the Coventry plant to ensure guidelines are being followed i.e. New Starter offers and leavers
- Act as a Super User for all HR and T&A Systems, training and providing ad hoc support to others

**Time & Attendance and Payroll**
- Maintain the Time & Attendance system to ensure that all absence is recorded correctly
- Ensure that all Payroll Administration is processed with Payroll within the monthly deadlines

**Reporting**
- Collate the daily and weekly management statistics and reporting.
- Analysis of absence statistics to identify trends or issues.

**Recruitment**
- Liaise with the recruitment team and assist managers with recruitment and interviews as and where required

**Key skills and Qualifications**:

- CIPD Level 5 (working or looking to work towards)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced HR or Admin role.
- Degree in Business Management and/or HR (preferred)
- Highly self-motivated & self-starter
- Must have an eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisation skills
- Team player
- Ideas person to challenge processes and make improvements
