- Job description 1**Uniform & Operational Equipment and Logistics Lead**

The main purpose of the role is to tactically lead on the provision of a comprehensive Uniform and Operational Equipment (UOE) service for the supply of uniforms, consumables, and operational equipment.

To lead the team to effectively administer, order and transport uniform and operational equipment for the needs of Warwickshire Police.

**Main Responsibilities**:
Manage supply and demand to meet the ongoing fluctuations within the establishment of officers and staff.

Manage all aspects of the logistic processes for the uniform & operational equipment service in line with force policy, procedures and health and safety.

Develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships for the uniform & operational equipment service.

Manage service complaints and uniform and operational equipment change requests in line with legislation changes.

Undertake inspections, audits of uniform standards, audits of operational equipment and appropriate disposal in line with service maintenance, local policy, and home office legislation.

To be responsible for the department’s workspace and storage areas are compliant with health and safety policies and legislation, implementing quarterly recommendations from the Health & Safety Officer when required.

To support the forecasting and planning processes for uniform & operational equipment by providing service data and information to the Business Operations Services manager.

To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level responsibility and grading of this post.

**Knowledge**:
To hold a relevant level 5 qualification (Customer Service, Logistics, Business Administration) or have 2yrs+ significant experience at managing a distribution centre.

**Experience**:

- Leading logistics
- Leading customer service and complaints handling
- Leading and managing teams
- Managing a distribution facility
- Substantial experience of managing an equipment/ asset service in a large complex multi-faceted organisation
- Building and maintaining working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing workload and conflicting demands
- Interpreting service data

**Desirable**:

- Policing uniform and equipment legislation

**Key Skills**:

- Competent in the use of IT including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Inventory management
- Operational service planning
