Who We Are_**

As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele-health and tele-care service, we are responsible for the delivery of health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. NHS 24 is a patient-focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services

Our Regional Centres are located at Hillington, Cardonald, Clydebank**,** South Queensferry, Dundee and Aberdeen. **This post will be based in our Lumina Regional Centre. **NHS 24 also supports Hybrid Working for this role.

The Role_**

**_Key Responsibilities_**
- Develop procedures around the management of committee and Board administrative requirements, including a timeline for the submission, collation and circulation of papers. The postholder will also be required to provide advice and guidance on the preparation of papers on the format and mandatory information within the new Board and Committee paper templates
- Support the Corporate Governance Manager in producing a workplan of governance reports that are due to be presented to Board or Committees, preparing the Board or Committee Paper Template for the Corporate Governance Manager to complete, where possible
- Produce agendas, collate, and circulate papers for meetings timeously, ensuring all papers are received in the appropriate paper template and correctly formatted
- Process incoming telephone calls, enquiries and requests made in person of a routine and non-routine nature and resolving day to day issues regarding committee business, as appropriate
- Inputting and updating of data on Risk Management System (Respond) and running of reports and searches
- Provide admin and co-ordination support the response to emergency and major incident and any planned training exercises for such an event
- Due to the nature of this post and due to time restrictions the post holder will require to make some degree of decisions and judgements in the absence of the Corporate Governance Manager, but in line with their own delegated authority

Successful Applicant will:_**
- Be educated to HNC / HND or equivalent administrative qualification, with demonstrable experience in an office environment as a senior administrator or equivalent role
- Have excellent Minute/Note taking skills
- Have awareness of the national Blueprint for Good Governance
- Be able to work flexibly and be able to travel throughout the region if required

NHS 24 offers a complete benefits package, with a permanent contract on Band 4 £27,598 - £30,019 (pro rata if applicable). Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
