**Role Overview**:
To provide effective business support to the Inclusion team, to contribute to their service delivery and achievement of their team objectives. To support the Penalty Notice process for the Inclusion Service

To provide effective support to the Inclusion Manager and wider service, in the discharge of the Authority’s responsibilities in relation to pupil tracking and children not in receipt of a suitable education.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To assist the Education Attendance Officers in the processing of Penalty Notices, warning letters, Holiday Penalty Notices, inputting onto PSS and the T-drive
- To assist the Education Attendance Officers in dealing with queries from parents, schools and other agencies regarding issues relating to penalty notices, payments and attendance issues.
- Produce reports (16 day, 29 day) for the processing of Penalty Notices and for the unpaid Penalty Notices ensuring that these are circulated on a weekly basis to attendance officers and process 29 day report for Proceed to court for non-payment of Penalty Notices
- Check incoming Penalty Notices appeals, scan and save on to system
- Able to liaise with other agencies to gain information and to share information when required including with GMP, MASH, Schools staff and others where applicable.
- Investigate anomalies/discrepancies especially around the payments of Penalty Notices, and propose a course of action.

**Key Requirements**:
To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:

- The ability and experience to use computer packages for word processing, spreadsheets and databases
- Experience of undertaking a wide range of administration and clerical tasks and to be able to follow instructions, procedures (including financial procedures)
- To have customer service skills to be able to deliver polite, courteous and efficient service to colleagues, partners and service users
- To be able to work within a team effectively to meet deadlines and complete work to a high standard.
