Are you looking for a job with a difference? Keen to support a growing small business run by enthusiastic people? Want to get out-and-about, running journeys on steam trains?

**About Us**:
Fox & Edwards Events was established in 2019 by Olly & Julie to deliver events and experiences that encourage visitors to embrace heritage visitor attractions.

Since then, we have been operating steam train trips on heritage railways throughout the UK. We currently work with ten railways from Derbyshire to Kent and Dorset providing a variety of journey options such as fish and chips, cream tea, character events and more.

Our trips are growing in popularity and so we are looking for additional support to ensure that visitors get the best possible experience. We are looking for an Activity Coordinator to help us in several key areas:

- Leading and supporting journey days on-the-ground at heritage railways - particularly in the East Midlands.
- Preparing for journey days - for example, planning seating lists.
- Supporting us with other ad-hoc work.

**About You**:
You’ll be:

- Keen like us to provide the best experiences for visitors.
- Well organised, reliable and presents positively.
- Calm under pressure, positive and flexible. You’ll consider yourself someone who gets ‘stuck in’ with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Good with the public - welcoming and friendly.
- Good with IT / Microsoft Office.
- A great team player who demonstrates initiative and is able to work alone to complete tasks well and on-time.
- Able to work from home to lead/support regular journey days on-the-ground at heritage railways / other venues. Note that these will be typically at weekends.

We’re really looking forward to hearing about you and why you’d be interested in this role. We’re more than happy to talk through / discuss any details about the role.

We will give full training about our systems, processes and journeys. You do not have to be a railway enthusiast to be good at this role

**Key Information**:

- This post is expected to be 12 hours per week. Hours will be annualised (so an element of more work in the main April to October season with less in the winter).
- A typical week in the season will involve one or two journey days (less in some weeks). These will typically be weekends - though a some Fridays may also be needed.
- These journeys will be largely on heritage railways in the Midlands (Derbyshire/Leicestershire), but in some cases we may need cover in other regions. In this circumstance, additional remuneration and expenses will be provided.
- On an event day, elements of this role include meeting and greeting visitors, considerable time on your feet, rubbish collection and walking through moving trains.
- £8112 equating to £13 per hour, paid evenly over twelve monthly payments.
- We are open to applicants with existing work, who are retired or with other circumstances. We work hard to be as flexible as possible - though event days are generally set in advance by the company.
