The Maintenance Coordinator reports into the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Coordinator ensures that all work carried out conforms to the requirements of Ecobat Resources Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Energy policies.

Roles & responsibilities:

- Attend improvement meetings as necessary and when instructed by Head of Engineering.
- Maintenance Coordinators will assume supervisory control as instructed by Head of Engineering for new installations, project work etc
- Ensure Maintenance Staff (and contractors where applicable) liaise with production area team leaders prior to commencing work in specific areas.
- Supervise and manage external contractors, ensuring adequate standards are met (standards of work, PPE, housekeeping, timekeeping etc).
- Ensure Site Coordinators and Team Leaders are made aware of any changes affecting plant operation or control. Assist as necessary in updating of operating procedures following such changes.
- Meet and liaise with sales reps, suppliers etc as necessary.
- Produce departmental time sheets for Accounts Department.
- Produce two SOP’s per month.
- Take responsibility for managing internal overtime.
- Assess planned maintenance requirements and produce schedules as necessary.
- Produce Permit to Work forms as and when necessary for Maintenance Staff and contractors.
- Activities undertaken under Permit to Work to be assessed, relevant ‘monitoring’ section of Permit to Work to be completed.
- Ensure that routine departmental health and safety issues are dealt with in accordance with policy
- Participate in recruitment processes (interviews etc).

Qualifications & experience:
Essential:

- Qualified in Mechanical Engineering
- A strong understanding of the importance of and commitment towards upholding HSE compliance.
- Proven experience and knowledge in an engineering/maintenance environment within an Industrial Manufacturing setting
- Strong leadership qualities and management experience
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate to members of all departments.
- Must have the ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult or conflicting situations.
- Strong prioritisation and organisation skills.
- Good IT skills.
