Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing are working with an outstanding, North East & UK based, leading engineering business on a Continuous Improvement Manager position.
Reporting directly into the sites director, the Continuous Improvement Manager will work across the business cross functionally developing employees, implementing operational excellence and driving continuous improvement programmes using Lean methodologies,Kaizen events and various specialist tools.
Continuous Improvement Manager Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Develop and implement a CI Strategy, working with relevant internal management teams
- Support the site in realising capacity potential to drive further improvements into 2023 and beyond.
- Establish industry best practises that underpin the development of the site whilst maintaining satisfactory industrial relations and a high level of engagement
- Lead and develop all CI activities in an attempt to improve performance.
- Work with a wide range of stakeholders at various senior and lower levels of the business
- Plan and run Kaizen events regularly
- Manage CI tasks, looking at any opportunities for CI initiatives
- Business wide transformation initiatives through change management programmes, onboarding, cultural shifts and the motivation to create a Centre of excellence
- Ensure all employees have an understanding of SOP's, Quality standards and health and safety requirements
- Knowledge and evidence of running Kaizen events and CI activities in a manufacturing/engineering environment - particularly proven rolls out of site wide lean initiatives
- Dedicated to working to a high quality standard in line with internal and external customers and contacts
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering, manufacturing or business improvement field (preferred)
- Lean practitioner or 6 Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) is desirable
- Experience working within a manufacturing / shop floor environment (desirable)
