- re-structured the Housing Solutions Service to ensure we can meet the housing advice and support needs of all our residents.

**About the role**

As a Housing Accommodation and Move-On Officer you will be responsible for your own caseload and work alongside an existing team delivering front line accommodation support services for homeless households in temporary accommodation.

You will play a key role in providing a comprehensive and innovative housing service including rent account and health and safety management. You will appreciate that every customer is different, as are their circumstances. You will be required to support customers ensuring that they are adhering to their personalised housing plans and working with them to move them into more permanent accommodation. You will be responsible for working with them and other agencies.

The Accommodation Team provides a face-to-face duty service, delivered from our offices in Chichester. As part of a rota team, you will provide the point of contact to manage emergency situations as they arise, outside of the service’s normal office hours. Additional financial renumeration is provided for this part of the role requirement.

The post holder will perform housing management functions for the Council’s internal letting agency, ‘Homefinder’. These will include home visits, inspections and support and assistance to ensure accommodation is sustained and identified tenancy issues are managed to prevent repeat homelessness.

You are passionate and motivated with a helpful and friendly ‘can do’ attitude, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be highly organised. Attention to detail is essential, along with a willingness to go the extra mile for our customers. You will be able to work on your own initiative to drive cases forward and support the rest of the team where necessary. The nature of the role is pressurised so resilience and the ability to work under pressure are essential along with effective and accurate administration skills.
