Farm Ness is a small business in Inverness, Highland. We are creative, customer-centric, engaging, and our goal is to engage the public in farm life, through food, play and education.

We have the following positions:
Seasonal staff (weekends and holidays) with potential for one full time permanent job after a probation period.

At Farm Ness, we have a really strong team ethic and are looking for someone that thrives on being part of a team.

The job role is very varied and so someone adaptable is a must.

The successful person must have a strong use of own initiative and problem solving.

Communication is imperative and you must be confident to speak openly and freely to customers both young and old but also to pass on instruction and information to colleagues.

The job will largely involve working with children and animals and so being upbeat and lively is much needed.

A PVG check will be carried out.

We don’t want any of our staff to get bored in one position and so the job involves rotating around the following positions:
Barista

Shop assistant - rotating stock, checking fridge temperatures, customer facing.

Farm Park assistant - maintaining the farm park, cleaning and tidying, ensuring safety of customers, checking equipment, maintaining facilities, cleaning animal pens, feeding animals, providing animal tours, carrying out crafting activities.

First Aid certificate would be an advantage.

We want you to feel as motivated in your job and really appreciate different strengths of individuals and so when it’s clear what skill you offer, we are always happy to find a way for you to utilise that skill in that specific area. Some of the skills/interests we’ve managed to utilise include art, drama, photography and finance.

Hours: we are currently closed Mondays and Tuesdays and so the positions will cover a 5 day working week including weekends. However, if we are able to get reliable staff in position, we aim to open up 7 days a week with weekends on a shift rotation. We currently operate 9am-5pm.
