The Teaching Fellow will be required to undertake duties at Warwick’s Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL) that develop and enhance its teaching reputation in the area of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary pedagogies. The Teaching Fellow will teach interdisciplinary, crossfaculty modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level with the duties being focused on contributing to the delivery of IATL’s undergraduate and postgraduate modules. It is currently anticipated that these modules will include IATL’s undergraduate Understanding Wellbeing Theory and Practice module and Genetics: Science & Society module, as well as IATL’s postgraduate module entitled Thinking Water. Previous interdisciplinary teaching experience would be an advantage along with an academic interest in education for sustainable development, student mental wellbeing and the interactions between science, society, politics and culture.

The Teaching Fellow will use and develop elearning and other technical tools and innovative teaching techniques within the classroom. The Teaching Fellow will also work with the other IATL staff to develop its teaching profile and assist in the development of new modules and programmes and contribute to devising overall departmental teaching strategy.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
You will have experience of interdisciplinary pedagogy and will undertake teaching on IATL’s modules, administration and other activities supporting the work of IATL and developing and enhancing its reputation within and outside of the University.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. To contribute to interdisciplinary undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in IATL.

2. To be involved with the development of interdisciplinary modules and transdisciplinary courses in accordance with IATL’s strategy.

3. To collaborate with members of staff in IATL and in other departments, predominantly STEM departments, to enhance and sustain our undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses.

4. To offer innovative teaching through a variety of methodologies as appropriate in support of the required teaching obligations.

5. To develop your own teaching materials, methods and approaches with guidance from colleagues in the Department.

6. To supervise studentcentred undergraduate and postgraduate project work, and to engage with innovative methods of assessment and feedback.

7. To ensure that student feedback on teaching is sought through questionnaires and other sources and to respond constructively to such feedback.

8. To ensure that teaching meets the standards expected within a researchled University.

9. To stay up to date with current pedagogic initiatives in Higher Education.

10. To contribute to and develop technological innovation in the development of pedagogies.

11. To undertake academic duties (i.e. setting examination questions, marking and providing constructive feedback, invigilation and pastoral support of students) required to sustain the delivery of high-quality teaching.
